Financial Peace University

Financial Peace University is a 13-week course designed to help Christians become better stewards of money. The "Baby Steps" for total money management are presented on video tape by Dave Ramsey (www.daveramsey.com). Volunteer Coordinator Bobby Moudy leads the weekly class meetings of the financial support group.

Mind, Body, & Spirit

Central Church of Christ understands that many families struggle through physical, emotional, and financial stress in an effort to help their children succeed in school. Schools typically reward children who have an inborn ability to focus on the task at hand, but are seldom able to provide an effective means to help those students lacking specific skills develop them.

The Mind, Body, & Spirit ministry uses a combination of research-based activities including balance, auditory, and vision exercises to develop rhythmic tossing and catching skills, ball-bouncing, and juggling skills as well as self-esteem. For more information, contact Angie Cox.

Benevolence

When local families are struggling financially, Central is available to help. The Church strives to meet emergency request for food, utilities, or medical needs, while also providing financial management training, marriage and family counseling, and information on educational opportunities. Contact Larry Stewart for assistance.

Children and Youth

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

"Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me."
Mark 9:37

The future leaders of Christ's Church are the children and teens of today. Central places a high priority on the Biblical training and preparation of our children and teens. Talented Bible class teachers, a full time youth minister, and deacons' families work together to provide many spiritual experiences for Tulia's youth.

Opportunities for involvement include Sunday and Wednesday Bible classes, Sunday youth activities, Friday Lunches for High School, Game Nights, Summer Camp at Pine Springs and Quartz Mountain, and Leadership Training for Christ. For more information on these and other opportunities for children and teens, contact Eben Emerson.

Leadership Training for Christ

"And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." Luke 2:52

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Leadership Training for Christ is an organization designed to stimulate and encourage spiritual, mental, and social growth among students in grades three through twelve. Its mission is to achieve this growth by developing skills in leadership, Bible knowledge, and Christian servanthood. Skill development in each of these areas will be accomplished through participation in a variety of individual and group events. These events will take place within the context of a wholesome and supportive environment designed for the purpose of fostering enthusiasm and high achievement among the participants.

Since its origin, LTC has focused on making the annual convention an opportunity to challenge young people to develop in an increasing number of leadership areas. Join the youth of Central as they grow "...in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men..." through practice and preparation for Leadership Training for Christ events. Contact Bobby Moudy for more information.

Fellowship

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." Acts 2:42

Central is a congregation of family. Fellowship is a very important ministry which helps God's family know one another. Join Central for first- and third-Sunday noon meals and family nights the first Wednesday of each month. Additional opportunities for fellowship will be posted on the church calendar
